Answer 12

Answer 12:
On a daily basis the class teacher determines the level of support for individual children within the class. When children have been identified with additional needs or health requirements, additional support maybe required, discussions are held between the class teacher, SENDCo and senior leaders to determine what this may be. Typically this support continues to be provided from within the class, but maybe targeted at specific times. If evidence suggests that a higher levels of support or funding maybe beneficial this is agreed by senior leaders as the resources are often provided from within the school or by outside agencies. When a child has more complex needs, additional funding may be required and this is applied for through the Local Authority.
