The Big Friendly Reading Challenge

Research informs us that reading for pleasure is more important to children’s successes than education or social class. The Summer Reading Challenge is expecting three quarters of a million children into libraries this summer to keep up their reading skills and confidence. Please try and support your child to participate in this year’s reading challenge through your local library.

Summer e-reading – keep reading skills sharp!

If your child prefers to read on-line, or they are running out of library books during the break, the teachers have recommended a website offering free access to Oxford Reading Tree graded texts. If you would like to access e-texts, you can locate reading books on the following website:
